We can’t talk Halloween without talking Halloween movies. I love a good scary movie on the regular. The last movie I say in theaters was the most recent Halloween (2018) while pregnant with Finley! But come October, I live for the excuse to watch a bunch of scary movies (and the not so scary Hocus Pocus 10x’s). I obviously had to put Watch a Scary Movie on my Fall bucket list (find it here). But when it came time to cross it off my list I couldn’t decide what scary movie to start with! So I though I would take some time to make a list of my top 10 favorite Halloween movies. I am sure I will watch a handful of these before October is over. In case you are a Halloween movie addict like me, I thought I would share it with you guys!

The original Halloween is the absolute best but all of them are great movies to rewatch in October. The original The Last House on the Left is nothing if not disturbing. Literally, viewer discretion. There are some scenes of sadism and severe violence. As for Wrong Turn, I can’t recommend this slasher any more. My husband and I stumbled upon this back in the day at a Redbox! We then quickly learned there were multiple straight to DVD sequels. Each one is better than the last on a cheesiness scale. I live for each new sequel! And I think most people would agree that Strangers is one of the scariest movies ever made because it is so realistic. It is something that could really happen opposed to say a murderous magical clown like in It.
