HGTV has finished building their 2019 Smart House in Dallas, Texas. I love when they start this sweepstakes. I like to check out what smart technology they used and their design choices. This year’s Smart House design has been dubbed ‘Old World Style’. It is very classy looking. At my old house, I slowly started incorporating smart technology. We had a keypad lock on the door (HIGHLY reccomend – so convenient, you don’t have to bring your keys when you leave the house!). As we are renovating and designing our current home, I am always looking to get inspired for more ways to incorporate smart home technology that will make life easier. Looking at what they did in the HGTV Smart House is always something I look forward to to get new ideas. Do you have any smart technology in your house?
Speaking of my new house, we should be moving in soon. That means I have officially been shopping for new furniture and other home products. I have had my eye on this ceramic bowl for my Kitchenaid stand mixer. It is pretty unnecessary (and a little pricy for my usual taste) but I can’t stop picturing it on my new counter in my new kitchen. I may or may not have to bite the bullet on it. I do have a Macy’s gift card which would soften the blow. Let me know in the comments if I should or not.
I have recently gone back to my tried and true bronzer. I always love trying new makeup products. But when it comes to bronzer I always revert back to my favorite – the Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave Princess. It goes on smooth and gives me that perfect sunkissed look. This shade seems to be perfect on so many different skin tones to which is great. If you look it up on youtube tutorials so many makeup bloggers/vloggers with such varying skin tones all use it and love it.
You guys know I love my wine. So I LOST it when I heard my two good friends were opening up a wine bar!!! I lost it because I was so excited and because it was opening while I was pregnant and I couldn’t drink!! But I’m off the wagon again and couldn’t be happier to indulge at their amazing spot. If you haven’t been to The Wine Lab in North Andover, MA yet then you are missing out. They don’t just do wine, they also serve beer and alcohol so there is something for everyone in your group. And they just started serving Sunday brunch! The food is out of this world and the ambiance is to die for located in an old historic mill. It is just about patio season so go check it out now.
Lately, I’ve gone deep in the vault for my TV viewing pleasure. I have been watching Dawson’s Creek. It literally cracks me up how some of their big dramatic story lines (like Jack being gay, for example) are everyday story lines in today’s sitcoms. I don’t think I ever watched the entire series back in the day when it was on TV but I just finished it. It was tough to get started, it felt very slow at first. But I have to say I do like how they ended the series. What should I watch next?
