This month’s Book Club feature is Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson. And I can’t even wait, I got to just jump right in. This fictional thriller is amazing! OK, maybe amazing is an over exaggeration. But it is a pretty damn good book.
It’s a New York Times bestseller and I can see why. It is about an amnesiac who is trying to piece together who she is and why she is the way she is. As she slowly starts to uncover different things about herself the story gets more and more gripping. This book is reminiscent of The Girl on The Train. If you liked that one, you will like this book.
The plot itself is pretty preposterous but not so much that it makes the book unbearable. The author does a good job of making a ridiculous storyline into a complete page turner. I could not put this one down.
This book is so good that Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth apparently made it into a movie in 2014. I didn’t realize this until after I read the book. I’m not a huge Nicole Kidman fan but I will definitely be checking this flick out.
Have any of you guys read this one? What is everyone reading right now?
