It is Thanksgiving week! I can’t speak for everyone but I am personally pumped to indulge in too much turkey in a few days. But it also means time to start thinking about what I am going to wear to Thanksgiving dinner. I have a few requirements when picking out my Turkey day outfit.
1. It has to be stretchy material.
2. It has to be seasonal fall colors.
Ok, I guess those are pretty much the only requirements. My family’s festivities are pretty low key and we all like to be comfortable. Here are a few of my favorite things I am considering for this year’s feast.
Top’s should be flowy and loose to hide the turkey belly that is going to develop.
Woven Button Up Peasant Top ($27.99) fits that bill perfectly. You can pick this one up at Target. It is stylish and is convenient to add to your closet. (We all know about that weekly Target trip). This will look great with jeans or leggings.
Fall Florals Long Sleeve Tee ($29.00) I love the color and pattern of this top. (& the price ain’t so bad either). Once again it’s lightweight and has a nice flow to it. Perfect for all the indulging that will be going on. And hopefully the pattern will hide any dribbled gravy.
Striped Draped Shawl ($24.90) This is warm and comfy to throw over an easy white T with some jeans or leggings. You can’t go wrong with a shawl.
Front Zip Extreme Circle Hem Sweater Tunic ($69.90) I love this sweater. It is perfect for stuffing your face as the circle hem is very forgiving. You can rock this with jeans or leggings, including the Moto Leggings below.
Faux Leather Moto Leggings ($27.90) Leggings are a go to for Thanksgiving. They are stretchy and comfy. However, the faux leather look amps up the style. I especially love the ankle zip on these.
On my feet, I like to wear a flat or a small heel so I can chase my nephews around and kick them off at my leisure.
Lace Up Pointy Toe Flats ($49.99 – ON SALE!) These are flat, comfy, and lace up. You can’t ask for much more than style and comfort.
Sam Edelman “Petty’ Chelsea Bootie ($149.95) These Sam Edelman boots are an investment piece. They go with everything. Also, they come in a wide fit which is great for my wide feet ladies out there. The color is spot on for fall and goes with a lot of the above.
Vince Camuto “Peera” Cutout Bootie ($129.90 – ON SALE) You can’t go wrong with cutout’s and a nice charcoal color. They are comfortable and go with a lot in my closet. These are a versatile closet staple.
Also, don’t forget your favorite tote bag. You are going to need plenty of room to carry leftovers home!
Kate Spade Olive Drive Savannah ($448) This is one of my favorites. I’m a Kate Spade fan so I am slightly biased. But this tote can fit plenty of tupperwares of turkey.
Fenna Minimal Suede Pocket Tote ($68) This burgundy tote is life. The color is so fall and the bag is a great size. Perfect for Thanksgiving.
What is everyone else wearing to Thanksgiving? Do you have a casual, relaxed, stretchy-pant feast like my family or do you guys get all dolled up?
