Maybelline New York Super Stay Matte Ink Lip is one of the best lipsticks on the market right now. It is long lasting, matte and comes at a drugstore price! This lipstick is not kidding when it says ‘super stay’ it will literally last all night, through dinner and drinks. I’ve literally had to scrub it off in the morning after falling asleep without washing my face (oops). It only comes in limited shades but I recommend Pioneer, Heroine and Lover.
Everyone has been obsessed with taking baths lately. You see it all over the ‘gram, TV and blogs. I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. But then in the need for some relaxation I decided to give it a try. It was pretty unsuccessful. My 1950’s tub wouldn’t hold the water for some reason. I filled that sucker up, got in, and then I immediately started to hear glug glug glug. The water level started going down at a moderate pace. This really pissed me off. Which is the opposite of a relaxing experience. I quickly did some research and came across the best drain stopper to plug the drain. It works great and has solved my problem. And every good bath requires an amazing bath bomb.
My and the roomie were recently looking to go out to dinner. I quickly hopped on my long list of restaurants-I-want-to-try to do some research. When I realized I still had never eaten at Island Creek Oyster Bar and there is a newish location in Burlington, MA! It has probably been open for a year and some change. Well it was DELISH. Before this, I only had ever had oysters one other time. I wasn’t sure if I liked them. Well it turns out, I love them! All the food was so good. I almost want to say finger licking good but I don’t want to give images of KFC for this higher end restaurant. They have an impressive raw bar selection. You’ll be dreaming about their lobster roll for weeks after. The drink and beer menu is great. They have a Shot & Beer portion on the drink menu. I LOVE THIS. It is so reminiscent of the old days when people would sit at the bar and basically only ever order a beer and shot. I can’t say enough good things about this place. (Even if I am late to the party!)
Speaking of being late to the party, I finallly got on Netflix a couple months ago when my little brother so kindly shared his password with me. Well my list of shows and movies to watch quickly began to grow with the amount of things available on Netflix. Well one of my best friends from college was always obsessed with Gilmore Girls and I never really watched it before. I needed something lighthearted after just finishing The Sopranos so I thought this was the perfect time to start this show. I love it! It is so cute and funny. The two main characters are so quick witted. I basically want to be them when I grow up.
Lastly, I am digging this blog, Perfectly Katie Bear, by same college best friend mentioned above! It started as a baking blog now turned general lifestyle blog. She is an amazing baker but also just an all around amazing person so I am happy to see her sharing general lifestyle things! I loved her most recent post, a homemade pumpkin spice latte recipe! I can’t wait to make this at home. She also often shares fashion and make up recommendations. I love this because she is my go-to person for make up advice.
